În februarie 2010, candidaţii având limba A italiana, româna şi bulgara au participat la testele de acreditare organizate de Direcţia Generală Interpretare la Bruxelles în speranţa de a deveni interpreţi freelance pentru instituţiile europene. Unsprezece candidaţi au trecut testul de acreditare şi au fost adăugaţi pe lista interinstituţională de interpeţi freelance.
